Dr. Xinyue Liu is currently an assistant professor at the School of Big Data & Software Engineering, Chongqing University, and a Chongqing Outstanding Young Scholar, concurrently serving as the Foreign Affairs Secretary of the school. He received his bachelor's degree from Nanjing University in 2020, and then went to the University at Buffalo in the United States to pursue his doctoral degree under the supervision of Lukasz Ziarek, and obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2025. He has now joined the Intelligent Software Engineering team led by Professor Hongyu Zhang.

His personal research areas are software engineering and programming language theory. He currently focuses on large language model-assisted Web application analysis and verification, with particular attention to dependency identification, security detection, and automated repair in the Web ecosystem. At the same time, he holds broad interests in the intersection of program analysis and large language models, and intends to explore new paradigms of software engineering, so as to improve the efficiency, functional correctness, and security and reliability of intelligent software development.
