Qinglin Deng, currently serves as Associate Professor at Chongqing University. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Mining Engineering from Central South University. His doctoral studies were conducted at École des Mines de Paris/Université Paris Sciences et Lettres and the University of Strasbourg, France, with joint training at the German Research Centre for Geosciences. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Strasbourg. His research focuses on deep rock mechanics and fracture flow mechanics, addressing engineering applications such as deep geothermal extraction and CO₂ geological sequestration. After completing his PhD, He joined the High-Pressure Water Jet Team at Chongqing University, China, dedicated to extending water jet fragmentation theory and technology for hard rock to metal and non-metal mining applications.
