Profile

Born in 1991 and hailing from Chongqing, Dr. Zhang is an associate professor and master's supervisor at the School of Physics at Chongqing University. He received his bachelor's degree in Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 2013 and his Ph.D. in Philosophy from University of California, Riverside in 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research at University of Massachusetts Amherst and the University of Iowa.

Dr. Zhang's research primarily focuses on quantum simulation, quantum phase transitions, and quantum dynamics. He employs tensor network algorithms, such as density matrix renormalization group and tensor renormalization group, to investigate the phase transitions and dynamic properties of lattice models. The lattice models he is interested in include cold atom systems in optical lattices and Rydberg atom arrays trapped by optical tweezers, as well as more general spin models and statistical physics models.

Dr. Zhang has published over 10 papers, including high-level academic journals such as Physical Review Letters (PRL), Physical Review D (PRD), Physical Review B (PRB), and Physical Review A (PRA). His papers have been cited over 300 times on Google Scholar.
