主要从事管道结构断裂力学、聚合物复合材料的银纹化问题和金属增材制造的研究工作，包括断裂力学理论分析、本构建模、有限元（扩展有限元）数值模拟及计算流体力学的多物理场耦合分析等方面。目前已在International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Ocean Engineering, Acta Mechanica, Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures, Philosophical Magazine等一流国际杂志上发表论文20余篇，论文被引总数230余次。
