Yanqing Yin is a faculty member at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Chongqing University, where he also serves as a doctoral supervisor and BaYu Young Scholar. His primary research interests lie in high-dimensional statistical analysis and random matrix theory. He was awarded as an Outstanding Graduate of Harbin Institute of Technology in 2011 and received the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Jilin Province in 2017, under the mentorship of Professor Zhidong Bai. He is also a reviewer for "Mathematical Reviews" (USA).

Yin's research has been published in prestigious journals such as Annals of Statistics, Annals of Applied Probability, Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, Bernoulli, Statistica Sinica, Science China: Mathematics, and Journal of Multivariate Analysis. He has led two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and two other research projects.
