Personal profile: Xia Xiaochao is currently an Associate Professor at the College of Mathematics and Statistics of Chongqing University. He received his Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Chongqing University in 2010 and his doctor's degree in Statistics from Chongqing University in 2015.  In 2013,  he, as a PhD student, visited the Department of Mathematics of University of Macau. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Statistics and Data Science (Department of Statistics and Applied Probability) of National University of Singapore. He has published more than 20 SCI papers in professional journals of Statistics.  Many of these papers have been co-published in journals such as the Journal of Econometrics, Biometrics, Statistica Sinica, Scandinavian Journal of Statistics, Statistics and Computing, JSPI, CSDA, etc.  He has completed the projects including National Natural Science Foundation,   Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities.  He is the member of the 11th council of Chinese Association for Applied Statistics (中国现场统计研究会), the invited reviewer for Mathematical Reviews, and an anonymous reviewer of more than 20 SCI journals. 

Research interests: High Dimensional and Massive Data Modelling;  Subsampling Methods;  Distributed Estimation; Feature Screening;  Nonparametric and Semiparametric Modelling.
