2010年获得香港城市大学博士学位。2024年赴加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学（UBC）访学，2025-2026年获国家留学基金委资助赴英国伦敦大学学院（UCL）从事访问学者研究。长期致力于工程材料与结构的多尺度力学研究，聚焦先进复合材料的多尺度增强机理与自传感混凝土的力-电耦合机制，旨在为重大工程结构的耐久性提升与安全服役提供理论依据。研究成果发表于高影响力国际期刊，如Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids、Carbon、European Journal of Mechanics - A/Solids、Construction and Building Materials、Composite Structures，迄今论文总被引用次数超1100次，h-index为15，其中单篇最高被引用逾480次，并入选ESI高被引论文。
