TANG Cong is an Associate Professor at Chongqing University. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Architecture, the University of Tokyo, and was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science at Nara National Research Institute, Japan.

 Her research interest is the ancient architectural history of East Asia, especially on the wooden structures and materials before the 15^th Century. Her current project focuses on the architectural dipictions in the Dunhuang Murals in Tang Dynasty, as well as the connection between Japanese and Chinese Buddhist Architecture under a viewpoint of East Asia architectural history.
